TV dismounting and remounting
Moving out or changing your TV setup starts with getting the existing screen off the wall. We offer TV dismounting as a separate service, and we can also remount the TV and patch the holes left behind. Tell us which parts you need so the visit is planned around the whole job.
You do not have to book one person for the TV and another just for the old mounting holes. We prefer having the person who mounts TVs every day handle a few holes too. Taking down and remounting takes longer than a standard installation, so we discuss the scope before the work begins.
How we do it
Start by telling us the size of the TV and whether you need removal only or installation in another position as well. If you are moving, explain what you need at the current location and where the TV will be remounted. Our team can discuss the appointments and service availability for the locations involved.
For the removal visit, clear space in front of the wall and move fragile or valuable things away. The technician takes the TV down from its mount. If you want the old holes patched, mention that when booking; the patching price depends on how many holes there are.
For remounting, we assess the new wall and screen position. An existing mount can be used if it is rated for the TV and appropriate for the wall. If you need a different mount, tell our team in advance. We explain a suitable replacement instead of forcing the previous setup onto a different wall.
We also help choose the viewing height in the new position. We measure to the center of the screen, usually aiming for seated eye level in a living room. If you want cables concealed or a soundbar installed at the new position, include those details so we allow time for them.
What we don't do and why
We do not treat dismounting, remounting and patching as the same job as a basic TV installation. They take additional time, and hole patching depends on the number of holes. Use the quote flow or speak with our team about the work you need rather than assuming one price covers every part.
We will not reuse an unsuitable mount just because it worked in the previous room. The new wall matters too. For a 98- or 100-inch TV, we always use two technicians, so tell us the actual screen size when arranging removal and reinstallation.

Can I book just a TV removal?
Yes. TV dismounting is a separate service. Tell our team that you only need the existing TV taken off its mount. If you also want the holes patched, ask for that work when booking so the technician knows what the visit needs to include.
Do you patch the holes after taking the TV down?
Yes. We can patch the mounting holes after removal. The price depends on how many holes there are. Taking down and remounting with patching costs more than a standard installation because it involves more work, but it avoids arranging separate people for the TV and the holes.
Do I need to buy a mount first?
No. Tell our team when you book if you need one: almost always your technician can bring a suitable mount. If you already have one, we can use it as long as it is rated for your TV and suitable for the wall. If it is not suitable, we explain why and suggest a replacement.
Can you work in a rental or condo?
Yes. We mount TVs in rentals, condos and apartments. Whether drilling is allowed is between you and your landlord or HOA, so check your lease or building rules before the visit if you are unsure. When you move out, we can also take the TV down for you.
Are same-day and weekend visits available?
We work weekends, and same-day visits are often possible. Availability changes from week to week, so contact our team to find the earliest slot for your location and the work you need. Tell us if the visit is urgent so we can check what is possible.
