Soundbar and device shelf installation

A soundbar and a well-placed shelf can make the whole TV area feel finished. This is honestly one of our favorite kinds of work: putting the screen, soundbar and devices together so the setup looks clean. We install soundbars and shelves for cable boxes, consoles and receivers as part of your TV setup.

Tell our team what you want to mount and what you already own. We have our own soundbar mounts, or we can use yours if you have one. Keep the devices, mounts and cables available for the visit so we can discuss the arrangement with the actual equipment in front of us.

How we do it

We start with the TV position and the equipment you use. A cable box, console or receiver needs a planned place in the setup, and a shelf can help bring those pieces together. We talk through where you want them and how the soundbar fits with the screen before beginning.

If the TV is being mounted during the same visit, we help you choose its height first. In a living room, the center of the screen is usually around seated eye level. That gives the rest of the arrangement a practical starting point instead of simply filling the empty wall.

Next, we discuss the soundbar mount and shelf installation. If you already bought a mount, have it and its box handy. Tell us during booking if you need a soundbar mount supplied. We have experience putting these setups together and enjoy getting the final arrangement right.

Cables are part of the plan too. On drywall, we can hide cables inside the wall. Where that is not an option, including brick or concrete, we use a slim paintable cord cover. Tell us which devices you want connected and keep their cables nearby rather than packing them away before the visit.

What we don't do and why

We do not treat extra devices as work that takes no time. A soundbar, cable concealment or other additions can extend a basic TV installation. We explain the expected timing before we start so the visit can include the work you actually want.

We do not cut into brick or concrete simply to hide a cable. We use a tidy surface route instead. If we are mounting your TV as well, we will not use a TV mount that is unsuitable for its size, weight or wall; we explain the issue and suggest a suitable replacement.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to supply a soundbar mount?

We have our own soundbar mounts, and we can use yours if you already have one. Let the team know what you have when booking so the technician can plan the visit. If you bought a mount, keep the box and parts nearby with the soundbar.

What kinds of devices can go on a shelf?

We install shelves for cable boxes, consoles and receivers. Tell us which devices belong in your setup and keep them available for the appointment. We have worked on many arrangements like this and enjoy making the whole TV area look clean.

How long does installation take?

A standard TV mount on drywall takes about an hour for most TVs. Concealing cables, working on brick or concrete, adding a soundbar or mounting a very large TV adds time — usually up to two or three hours in total. We tell you the expected time before we start, and we do not rush to squeeze in more appointments.

What should I have ready for the visit?

Clear some space in front of the wall and put fragile or valuable things away. Have your mount, devices and their cables nearby if you already own them. Think about your preferred screen height; we can help you decide on site. The TV does not have to be in the room — your technician can carry it in.

Can you hide cables on every wall?

On drywall, we can hide cables inside the wall. Where we cannot go inside — including brick, concrete or exterior walls — we use a slim paintable cord cover. We do not cut into brick or concrete just to hide a wire. The aim is a clean result that suits the actual wall.
